Portrait on litho stone (Taken with instagram) wip. we’ll see what the print on paper looks like…
This past weekend had the openings for the ATTENTION: corcoran print portfolio 2012 and Excellence in Printmaking. We’ve gotten great notes from many that the Attention opening was fantastic and the show was even better than years before. While the Excellence was also a strong show, no one from the corcoran was selected as grand prize (which is disappointing because they gave us a shout out for having the most innovative work at our age.) Alas.
In other news, I have a few things up my sleve for unveiling soon. More prints more screen prints. Hopefully i’ll get around to doing a few massive lithos.
Also, totally going to SGCI, any one else?
Litho reduction. This dang Stone is 34x24; I like the brilliant lithographer that I am, managed to close the stone with SILVER ink, a no no. So of course seeing as it’s a black slate reduction… IT WASN’T CO OPERATING… luckily after a few hrs of performing lithographic ER maneuvers I fixed it and managed to reduce. SCORE!
Well, I’ve begun the 5th year of my BFA / MAT program and officially now a graduate! Wooo! Its so far been exciting and a whole lot of work. I know i’ll get used to it but geez, i didn’t think i’d over booked. Buuuuut i did.

Its Done, now its to print and debate if i’ll make it wall paper or not. Will take for - ev- er. Alas.
I still haven’t finished that 24x30in litho stone, dang trying to be an overacheiver ;D
I have a lino cut series im working on and i have a few plots for prints, but nothing done so far.
I’ve been working for several local artists and such so hopefully all of that EXP. will come in handy when i go to settle down on what i want to do forever.
