sincerity. 2011 Screenprint + Oil with Cold Wax Medium
Its a WIP: but first layer done. the edition is split in half- Waxed and not waxed. And i used a Chrome Silver and a Copper Gold. ITS SO SHINY.
A few new things up my sleeve!
Oil Paint waxed screen prints. This technique is entirely unique to the Corcoran College of Art + Design. If anyone was @ SGC- This technique is by Dennis O’Neil renound printmaker of the Handprint Workshop.
Oh god. this was the most traumatizing thing ever to get this out of the kiln. this is the LAST TEST before i fire the last 3. i WAS hoping that this was going to turn out 10000 times better… but it obviously didn’t. WOMP WOMP.
The other 3 are done right now, and are to be lowfired again. ugh. i hate waiting.
—1. “M P T” 2011. Screenprint on Masonite Panels.
2. Color Test of M P T.
Well this is the proof before i begin thesis final works, and it was installed in gallary 31 at the corcoran. All i can say, after that crit, when i make work, i make what i want. Seriously.

Last month of working. I CAN DO THIS. I see the light!
Anyways what this is:
Wall Panels of repeating portrait panels and ceramic objects that are about 1ft diameter and about 2 1/2 feet tall. (these are big mothers. HEAVY MOTHERS) They will eventually be glazed in a majoilica and be decaled with the same image that it will sit in front of.
